Femme Luxe August Fashion Haul

I’m back with another haul from Femme Luxe, a fashion brand for women based in the United Kingdom. Since I’m not doing much of anything aside from chilling, I opted to select simple pieces this time around. If you’re interested in any of these products, be sure to click on the links provided!

Mariana – Black Polka Dot Mesh Top Mini Dress

Size: 12 (UK)

Black Polka Dot Mesh Top Mini Dress

When I saw this piece online my first reaction was, “This a dress?! Looks like sexy lingerie to me!” I immediately envisioned rose petals and bedroom settings, and that’s exactly what I did. This mini dress fits perfectly! I adore the fact that the straps are adjustable. I have a few pieces in my closet that upset me because the straps are too long and don’t do my boobs any justice. The bottom half of the mini dress is super soft and flexible. The top piece is totally risquay! While I love a little see-through action, I covered the nip-nips with my Carnivalista Smoothies for the photoshoot. I’ve put way too much work into curating my Instagram page and never want to risk my page getting shut down. Since the Smoothies match my skintone, they are a perfect addition to this mini dress. When I think about rocking this, the first event that comes to mind is an at-home New Year’s Party. I would certainly skip the Smoothies then.

Cordelia – White “In A World Where You Can Be Anything Be Kind” T-Shirt

Size: S/M (8/10 UK)

In A World Where You Can Be Anything Be Kind T-Shirt

The phrasing of this crew neck t-shirt was so timely! Between all the madness currently happening in the social justice arena, mixed with trends in my personal life, I needed to rock this shirt! Since the t-shirt is pretty basic, I decided to jazz it up a bit with a pair of wide-legged turquoise pants. I copped the pants YEARS ago from a local shop. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how I look at it), they now fit perfectly. Before now, the pants had been too big in the waist (now you see why I said what I said lol). Nonetheless, my money has not gone to waste. If I was actually going outside to an event, I’d pair this ensemble with a pair of platform shoes. Platforms would allow the pants to have just enough height off the ground so they don’t drag. The crew neck t-shirt from Femme Luxe runs true to size; however, I tied it in the back because I wanted that extra-sexy fit so that the pants could do their thang. I don’t know about you but a slouchy shirt with wide leg pants just doesn’t appeal to me.

Mila – Black Ribbed Cropped Skinny Leg Loungewear

Size: M/L (12/14 UK)

Black Ribbed Cropped Skinny Leg Loungewear

This skinny leg loungewear set has my name written all over it. Fall is right around the corner and I have no desire to be scrambling for warm and comfy pieces. I love that the set runs true to size. I often get concerned that my thickish thighs will be too much for skinny bottoms but this set definitely worked. While I enjoyed the fit of this loungewear set, it wouldn’t hurt if I went up a size. The ribbed design of the fabric adds a bit of pizazz to the seemingly simple design of the top and bottom. The beautiful thing about this set is that it can be dressed up or down. If I wanted to step out on my hot gyal fle, I’d throw a pair of peep-toe heels on with a fedora or headwrap to spice things up. For more laid back vibes, I’d definitely grab a pair of my 5411 Reebok Classics and a beanie hat to finish off the hood-chic look. This Femme Luxe loungewear set was very comfortable and easy to move in. I enjoy the fact that the bottoms are friendly to those of us with long legs. It wouldn’t have been as cute if the pants stopped above my ankles. Thank you Femme Luxe!

Imana – Pink Off the Shoulder Loungewear Set

Size: M/L (12/14 UK)

Pink Off the Shoulder Loungewear Set

Drumroll please! You know I had to save my favorite piece for last. I don’t normally like blush pink but the color on this loungewear set just hits different. My spirit told me to go with M/L size and I’m glad I did. My legs are happy because my thighs have enough space to move and my ankles are beautifully covered. As for the top, it exposes the perfect amount of shoulder sexiness. Oh, and let’s take a moment to clap it up for the material. The fabric is so soft and nice. I’m talking cashmere-like vibes here people! With my eczema acting the fool these days, it’s a blessing to come across fabric that is gentle on my skin.

You may not be aware, but I’m still not wearing any shoes in the photos. But, if I did, I think I’d pair this loungewear set with another pair of 5411 Reebok Classics. I have an army green, faux snakeskin pair that would go perfectly! I would have to be in an extra-girly mood to wear this loungewear set with a pair of heels. The pink fabric already screams feminine, and mixing that with heels is not my cup of tea. My tomboy nature has to make a small appearance during almost-all informal occasions lol.

Well folks, that’s a wrap! Here’s a lil video montage of the outfits I put together so you can get some ideas of how the pieces look in action. I hope you enjoyed this Femme Luxe haul. Happy shopping!

Stay nice!
