Breast Cancer Awareness Earrings

It’s Pinktober! Some things just hit you a certain way after you’ve been impacted directly. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is one of those things for me. September 23, 2020 made one year of me being breast cancer free! Insert crowd cheer! I shared my journey on my social media platforms to bring awareness to others, especially since I was diagnosed at a younger age than most. My initial diagnosis was stage zero DCIS, during the surgery it was discovered that I actually had stage 1 breast cancer (mind blowing).

Women aren’t encouraged to get mammograms until they’ve hit the forty mark. I was 36 at the time of my diagnosis, so just imagine how the cancer could have evolved over four years time. (LAWD!) I was compelled to share my story for this very reason. I wanted to encourage younger women to do the recommended self checks, become familiar with their boobies and advocate for themselves to their healthcare providers if something feels off. If I didn’t do any of that who knows how much worse things could have been for me.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I proudly present my Pinktober earring collection. Each piece is handmade and named after a Black celebrity who was diagnosed with breast cancer. 10% of the proceeds from each purchase will be donated to an organization focused on raising breast cancer awareness to younger populations.

The Pinktober Collection launches on October 2, 2020 at 8:00PM (EST)

Custom Earrings
"When T'ingz Nice launched new merch, I couldn't wait to support. I reached out to her with one problem, I couldn’t really decide what I wanted. She’s made beautiful custom earrings for me in the past, but this time I had no vision. I asked her to surprise me. Fast forward...I open my “box” and gasped, and then started to cry. Sweet Sha took a photo of my grandma that I’d forgotten I’d even shared and made it into perfectly beautiful earrings. I asked her to surprise me because I trust her eye and talent. But this heartfelt touch is more than I ever could have expected or asked for...I am so grateful"
